Trott And Lindsay Set For Legends Finale
Sean Trott and Gayle Lindsay will aim for a clean sweep of victories in the Swan’s Running Club Legend Series when they race in the Bermuda Healthcare “Sir” Stanley Burgess 5K in Devonshire on Sunday [May 5].
Trott and Lindsay have 75 points after winning the Ed Sherlock 8K Run in February, the Ray Swan Flat 8K in March, and the recent Ludwig Cann 10K.
Chayce Smith [36 points] and Will Green [35 points] are second and third in the men’s standings.
Meanwhile, Teresa Ruiz [45 points] and Deirdre McLaughlin [37 points] are second and third in the women’s standings.
There will also be age group winners in the Open [20-39], Masters [40+], Seniors [50+], Veterans [60+] and Legends [70+] categories.
A competitive field is expected for the final race of the series, with $5,000 in prize money from Bermuda Healthcare up for grabs.
The race starts and finishes at the Clyde Best Centre of Excellence in Prospect at 8.30 am.
The Legend Series aims to celebrate Bermuda’s race legends. Participants must compete in a minimum of three of the four races to be eligible for titles.
