Warwick Under-15 Enjoy ‘Perfect’ Season

The Warwick Football Academy Under-15 team have enjoyed a special season after winning all honours without the blemish of a single defeat.
Competing in their inaugural season, the team, formerly the Warwick Archers, who also dominated the under-15 age division, finished the campaign as the Bermuda Football Association “Triple Crown” champions after claiming the league title, the Lee Holder Cup, and the Knockout Cup.
Richard Todd, the Warwick Football Academy technical director, heaped praise on coaches Kieshon Smith and Omar Allen, team managers Nicki Horan and Joe Carolo, and the players themselves.
“They have embraced the culture and values of the club, serving as role models for younger teams to emulate, and are fittingly deserving of all accolades and recognition coming their way,” Todd wrote on Facebook yesterday [April 14].
“The team displayed a level of dominance in many contests, edging challenging opponents in tight matches, showed the perseverance and luck to succeed in penalty kick shootouts, and the nerve to hold tight in the two matches they were stretched to hold on for a draw.
“To maintain a high level of achievement year to year is not easy, but the programme has always taken pride in unapologetically developing a winning mentality and holistic drive to succeed in the players.
“Winning doesn’t just happen, it comes as a result of hard work, sacrifice, commitment, discipline, togetherness, and a desire to achieve and aspire towards success.”
