FC Bascome Win Under-18 Appleby Final
FC Bascome won the Appleby Under-18 Knockout final after defeating North Village 3-2 at the Flora Duffy Stadium yesterday [April 7].
Christian Piney opened the scoring for FC Bascome, beating the offside trap after being released on goal by Mosias Mills in the ninth minute.
Jyus Dill equalised for Village from the penalty spot in the fourteenth minute before Mills restored FC Bascome’s advantage with a close-range finish in the 27th minute.
On the half-hour mark, Ramsay Soutter netted for FC Bascome to give them a 3-1 lead at the interval.
Saezjhor Dent pulled a goal back for Village when he scrambled the ball home in the 64th minute.
FC Bascome, who won the Charles Marshall Cup in January, beating Robin Hood on penalties, are still in the hunt for the league title.
