18-Year-Old Arrested In Connection With Shooting
An 18-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the shooting that injured four people earlier this month, the police have confirmed.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service [BPS], can confirm that an eighteen-year-old male has been arrested in connection with a shooting, which left four people in hospital receiving treatment for firearms related injuries.
“The incident occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2nd , 2024, in the area of Middle Town Lane, Pembroke.
“Two of the injured persons were attended to and discharged. The other two remain in hospital recovering from their injuries.
“The investigation into this matter is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Chief Inspector Derricka Burns of the Serious crime Unit on 717-0921or, via email,dburns@bps.bm.
“You may also call 211 or, the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline, 800-8477, as soon as possible.

Chief Inspector Burns reminded: “Crimes of this nature threaten the wellbeing and safety of our entire community.
