BUEI Films Presents ‘Bob Marley: One Love’
BUEI Films will showcase the 2024 film ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ on May 11, depicting the life of the reggae legend.
A spokesperson said, “Films at BUEI continue at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] with the screening of the 2024 Musical/Drama, ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ on Saturday, May 11th at 7:30pm in our Tradewinds Auditorium. [Wheelchair Accessible]
“This American biographical film follows the life of beloved reggae singer and songwriter Bob Marley, from his rise to fame in the mid-1970s up until his death in 1981. ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, who co-wrote the screenplay with Terence Winter, Frank E. Flowers, and Zach Baylin.
“In this film, the renowned musician is played by Kingsley Ben-Adir [Peaky Blinders, Barbie, One Night in Miami…], a British actor well known in the London theatrical scene. The film also stars Lashana Lynch [Fast Girls, No Time to Die, The Woman King], James Norton [Rush, Mr. Turner, Rogue Agent], Tosin Cole [Second Coming, Burning Sands, The Souvenir], Anthony Welsh [Red Tails, Journeyman, The Personal History of Davis Copperfield], Michael Gandolfini [Ocean’s 8, The Independent, Beau Is Afraid], and Nadine Marshall [Club Le Monde, Second Coming, A Street Cat Named Bob]. The cast also includes the talents of well-known Jamaican musical-artist Anna-Sharé Blake [aka. Sevana], as well as Aston Barrett Jr. in the role of his father, Aston “Familyman” Barrett, the bassist and musical director for Bob Marley & The Wailers.
“The film is rated PG-13 with a runtime of 1 hour and 47 minutes.
