Minibus Driver Injured In Single-Vehicle Collision
A minibus operator was injured in a single-vehicle collision along Middle Road in Warwick, near Belmont Hills Drive.
A police spokesperson said, “A minibus operator was injured in a single vehicle collision around 11:20am Monday, 29th April 2024 along Middle Road in Warwick, near the junction with Belmont Hills Drive.
“The collision left the vehicle involved and a wall damaged. Police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service as well as ambulance personnel, responded to the scene.
“Traffic flow in the area was disrupted for approximately one and a half hours, while the collision site was processed.
“It now appears that the minibus was being driven in the westbound lane of Middle Road when it struck the sidewalk and a wall.
“The driver, said to be a 65-year-old Warwick man, was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and later discharged.
“A public appeal for witnesses was issued Monday afternoon [29th April 2024].”
