Phillips & Arizona State Advance In Tournament
In the opening round of the NCAA Tournament at the Winston-Salem Regional hosted by Wake Forest, Daniel Phillips and his Arizona State Men’s Tennis teammates came out on top, with a 4 – 3 win over Georgia.
Roi Ginat clinched the match for ASU and secured the team’s 18th win of the season, which is the most wins in a single season since the program’s reinstatement.
Phillips teamed up with Martin Vergara they defeated Cyrus Mahjoob and Miguel Pena 6-3 in the doubles, but it was Georgia who scored the double point winning the other two matches.
