Roach Inspires Francis Patton Students
Top local amateur boxer Adrian Roach paid a visit to Francis Patton Primary School to deliver an inspirational talk to students last Friday [May 17].
The 22-year-old said he spoke about his journey in the sport and the positive impact it has had on his life. He also demonstrated some of his skills on a punch bag.
“We talked about the importance of discipline, consistency, dedication, and how you can’t have one foot in and one foot out if you want to achieve something,” Roach told Bernews.
“I also talked to the students about the importance of maintaining a good social image once you become a sponsored athlete.”
Roach, who earned a scholarship to Crandall University in New Brunswick, Canada, represented Bermuda at the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador, El Salvador, last summer.
