Police: Do Not ‘Approach Or Confront Them’
“We urge members of the public that should you recognise or are able to identify any of the persons in that video, do not attempt to take matters into your own hand and approach or confront them,” the police said following the video footage released in connection with investigation into the double murder in Sandys.
The shooting resulted in the death of two people — a male and a female — and also injured three other people, with the police saying that there are four suspects, and it is believed the suspects fired “indiscriminately at those inside of the club.”
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service wishes to thank members of the public for their response, so far, to the video clip of the alleged suspects in the incident which occurred at Legends bar on Thursday night.
“However, we urge members of the public that should you recognise or are able to identify any of the persons in that video, do not attempt to take matters into your own hand and approach or confront them.
“Instead, please contact Detective Chief Inspector Derricka Burns on 717-0921. You may also contact the Serious Crime Unit on 247-1739 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.
“Alternatively, you can speak to any officer you know. The community reporting portal can also be used to provide information at portal.police.bm.”
