Jessica Lewis Honoured In Float Parade
Bermuda athlete Jessica Lewis has shown her appreciation for an eye-catching float depicting her racing down the track in her wheelchair that took part in the Bermuda Day Parade on Front Street.
The colourful float was designed by Jordan Carey on behalf of the Department of Youth, Sport and Recreation, which Lewis described as “amazing recognition.”
Lewis, who competed at the World Para Athletics Championships in Kobe, Japan, this week, wrote on Instagram: “I am truly grateful for and humbled by the support I receive and am so proud to be Bermudian. Happy Bermuda Day!!!”
You truly are an inspiration Jessica. What a wonderful honour to you.
Thank you and well done Mr. Carey what a spectacular piece
