Governor Hosts Coronation Medal Ceremony
Last night [June 12], Governor Rena Lalgie hosted a ceremony to award Coronation Medals to the civilians that actively participated in official events to mark the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla in Bermuda and London.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Scouts were honoured with Coronation Medals for their assistance during the Coronation in London. They were assigned to work alongside the Police on the south side of Buckingham Palace, where they helped with crowd control. Their support enabled the police to concentrate on the official responsibilities of the Coronation.
“*Those awardees unable to attend the ceremony will receive their medals at a later date.
