The Economic Development Department announced a new partnership with Centre for Finance, Technology, and Entrepreneurship [CFTE].

A Government spokesperson said, “In anticipation of the upcoming Fintech Training Programme, the Economic Development Department is pleased to announce a new partnership with CFTE, formally known as the Centre for Finance, Technology, and Entrepreneurship, which will further enhance the programme.

“CFTE is a global impact platform for education in FinTech that focuses squarely on the future of financial services. Driven by a belief in centering humans in a tech-heavy world, CFTE was established in 2017 to aid finance professionals in adapting to rapid industry shifts. Its work with the EDD aims to enrich the Annual Fintech Training Programme.

Says Tram Anh Nguyen, co-founder of CFTE: “CFTE is thrilled to announce a partnership with the Bermuda Government and CFTE is to design a programme for next generation of fintech leaders forward. This initiative will provide Bermuda’s learners with cutting-edge fintech education, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to excel and to thrive in the fast-evolving financial sector. With the Government of Bermuda, we’re willing to set up the most innovative programme, allowing university students to learn about the latest trends in Finance, Technology and Fintech, allowing them to join a global community of Fintech practitioners around the world. We are very impressed by the Bermuda Government to innovate and try new pedagogical methods to keep bringing the best to their students.”

Jason Hayward, Minister of Economy & Labour, added, “I thank Tram Nguyen and CFTE for working alongside the Bermuda Government to help strengthen the learning experience offered to Bermudians through the Fintech Training Programme. I also want to thank the team from the EDD for their ongoing commitment to providing opportunities for Bermudians to become equipped with the necessary skills needed in Bermuda’s burgeoning fintech sector.”

“As a reminder, the deadline to register for the Fintech Training Programme is Wednesday, 5 June 2024. For important information and to register, visit https://fintechbermuda.net or email the Economic Development Department at EDD@gov.bm.”
