Motor Fest Introduces New Creativity Awards
The Scooter Mart Motor Fest introduced the “Madhouse Motors Award” and “People’s Choice Award” to honor creativity and craftsmanship in Bermuda’s bike and auto community.
A spokesperson said, “Scooter Mart Motor Fest [presented by Bermuda Charge], the premier showcase for motor culture in Bermuda, is proud to announce the introduction of two highly anticipated new awards at this year’s festival. The “Madhouse Motors Award” and the “People’s Choice Award” will recognise the exceptional creativity and craftsmanship within the island’s vibrant bike and auto community.
“The Madhouse Motors Award will be presented by world leading motorcycle builder and designer J. Shia, founder of Madhouse Motors in Boston, who will be looking for the bike and car that represent the “most creative modification”, celebrating innovation and eye-catching style. The winning creations, selected by Ms Shia in her role as Guest Judge, will embody the spirit of creativity and inspire custom enthusiasts across Bermuda. The grand prize for each winner will be return business class flights courtesy of BermudAir to one of their many destinations, allowing the winners to embark on a deluxe journey to further fuel their passion.
“Scooter Mart Motor Fest is free for spectators, and another new feature – the People’s Choice Award – will empower bystanders to choose their favourite bikes and cars at the event, for the first time. Using a QR code and a clever technology solution provided by Socialprise, a leading Bermudian digital solutions agency, attendees can use their phone camera to cast votes electronically and reveal the most-loved car and bike! This interactive element will not only engage the audience but also ensure that the most popular vehicles receive the recognition they deserve. The winner of the People’s Choice Award will be rewarded with a luxurious night’s stay at the Hamilton Princess Hotel, including breakfast for two, for a truly memorable experience.”
