Jah-Nhai Perinchief finished fourth in the men’s triple jump final at the USATF NYC Grand Prix at the Icahn Stadium on Sunday [June 9].

Perinchief, who hopes to represent Bermuda at the Olympic Games in Paris this summer, posted a best leap of 16.27 metres in his third attempt.

The event was won by Donald Scott, of the United States, with a jump of 16.94.

Should Perinchief fall short of hitting the qualifying standard of 17.22, he could still make the cut as one of the top 32 men’s triple jumpers.

As of June 4, he was ranked 27th in the world.
