Jevone Morrissey Thanks Swift Responders
Jevone Morrissey, the pilot who crashed his powerboat in St George’s on Sunday [June 9], has thanked those who came to the assistance of his crew.
Morrissey and co-pilot Jordan Place’s BV-31 boat suffered a mechanical issue and hit one of the old railway bridge pylons between Coney and St George’s islands during the Bermuda Power Boat Association’s National Championship Series at Ferry Reach.
Neither Morrissey nor Place was seriously hurt.
“Good evening my fellow powerboaters,” Morrissey wrote yesterday [June 11] on the Bermuda Power Boat Association’s Facebook page.
“My crew and I would like to say thank you to everyone who helped secure the boat after the incident, and a huge thank you to our BPBA crash boat crews.
“I don’t remember things quite clear on who was there but both Jordan and myself are very thankful for the quick response.
“Thanks once again BPBA crash boat crews and all those for the assistance.”
