BEDC Hosts Seminar On Business Registration

The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation [BEDC] announced the successful conclusion of its Lunch & Learn event, “Business Essentials: Step-by-Step Business Registration from Application to Compliance.”

A spokesperson said, “This informative session occurred on Thursday, July 25th, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the training room at the BEDC Main office at 48 Church Street, 1st Floor Sofia House. The event attracted over 30 attendees.

“The seminar was designed to guide aspiring entrepreneurs through the essential steps of registering a business in Bermuda. Attendees received comprehensive insights into the entire process, from application to ensuring compliance, including how to correctly apply for business registration, avoid common pitfalls, and understand key documents.

“Participants also learned about the types of insurance needed to protect their businesses and ensure compliance. The seminar provided a clear overview of the tax responsibilities that business owners need to manage. This holistic approach ensured that attendees left with a well-rounded understanding of the registration process.

“Attendees benefited from the expert guidance from experienced professionals who offered practical advice and answered questions. The event also served as a valuable networking opportunity, allowing attendees to connect with other entrepreneurs and business leaders on the same journey. A light lunch was provided, ensuring attendees could make the most of their time while they learned.”

Donte Hunt, Director of MSME at BEDC, emphasized the importance of this event, “This Lunch & Learn is an excellent opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to gain the knowledge and tools they need to register their businesses successfully. Our goal is to simplify the process and provide comprehensive support to ensure their success.”
