Local jeweller David Rose has been announced as the Official Ring Supplier for the Bermuda Olympic Association [BOA], creating timeless pieces to honour Bermuda’s Olympians, including Team Bermuda 2024 athletes.
A spokesperson said, “Behind the scenes, husband and wife duo Avrel and David Zuill have been working alongside the Bermuda Olympic Association to create a signature team ring that will serve as memorabilia. These keepsakes will be a physical reminder of the honour, pride and history the Olympians have made representing Bermuda.”
Speaking on the opportunity, the duo shared, “When we were first approached to create these historic pieces for the Bermuda Olympic Team, we felt an overwhelming sense of pride and honor. Years of consistency and dedication have led to the recognition by fellow perfectionists. It is a testament to the outstanding team we have built.”
Chef De Mission Katura Horton-Perinchief said, “Not only is this an opportunity for the Bermuda Olympic Association to work with local creatives and a local business but it’s an opportunity for Bermuda’s esteemed Olympians to have a timeless piece of custom jewelry uniquely designed with them in mind as an acknowledgment of their commitment to sporting excellence and their achievements on behalf of our island home. We are grateful for the visionary creativity of the team at David Rose for taking this initiative and making it a truly Bermudian experience for our athletes.”
Team Bermuda Athlete Adriana Penruddocke, who has qualified to represent Bermuda in sailing stated, “I think it’s a very cool and unique piece of team kit where we get to show we are one team from Bermuda and that we are ready to showcase our hard work on the world stage. It’s huge to be part of such a team and I’m proud to be part of it.”
The spokesperson said, “The BOA encourages the community to stay current on all Paris 2024 updates and content, ahead of the Olympic Games from July 26th to August 11th.”
