U12 Tennis Teams Win In Dominican Republic
The 2024 ITF/COTECC under 12 team competition continued in the Dominican Republic, with Bermuda’s team making an excellent showing.
The Bermuda girls picked up their first win defeating the Dominican Republic Two team 3 – 0.
Ariann Parra got Bermuda on the board winning her match 6-3. 6-2. Lee Terceira would then double the Bermuda lead winning her match 62, 6-1. Ella Matchimabel, and Parra would take to the doubles and they came out winners 6-2, 6-0.
The Bermuda boys picked up their second win of the tournament after defeating the Dominican Republic Two team 3 – 0.
Manuel Maldonado gave Bermuda the lead winning his match 6-0, he was up 2-0 when his opponent retired. Oliver Anderson doubled the Bermuda lead winning his match 6-0, 6-0. Anderson and Theodore Tolaramm would win the doubles match 6-1, 6-4 to claim the win.
