Khano Smith’s Rhode Island Win Again
Khano Smith’s Rhode Island won their third straight away match after defeating Birmingham Legion 3-1 in the USL Championship on Wednesday [July 17].
Noah Fuson gave Rhode Island the lead in the first minute before Prosper Kasim equalised for the Legion in the 50th minute.
Zachery Herivaux netted twice in the second half for Rhode Island, who have climbed to eighth in the table.
Smith, a former Bermuda and New England Revolution winger, was appointed as head coach and general manager of Rhode Island in March last year.
Rhode Island are at home to North Carolina next Saturday [July 27].
