Fishermen interested in participating in the 2024/25 Commercial Guinea Chick Lobster Fishery are invited to make application for available places in the fishery.
Applications are available from the Licensing Office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources located in the Botanical Gardens, Paget starting Monday, July 22, 2024, and must be received at the Licensing Office by the 4:45 PM deadline on Monday, July 29, 2024.

The owner or operator of every licensed fishing vessel is reminded of the obligation to keep a daily log of catch and effort statistics relating to the operation of that licensed fishing vessel, and to make returns of the catch and effort statistics to the Director of Environment and Natural Resources on the fisheries statistics Form 3 or online at www.fisheries.gov.bm. The deadline for the receipt of catch and effort statistics for the first quarter of 2024 was on 30April 2024.
Vessel owners and operators are now advised that the deadline for the receipt of catch and effort statistics for the second quarter of 2024 [i.e. 1 April to 30 June 2024] is 31 July 2024. Statistics should be submitted to the Licensing Office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources [DENR] located in the Botanical Gardens, Paget; to the DENR Marine Resources Section Office located on Coney Island, St. George’s; or online at www.fisheries.gov.bm.
