Emancipation Service To Be Held At St Peter’s
St George’s Parish of the Anglican Church of Bermuda invites all to celebrate the 190th anniversary of the Slavery Abolition Act with a service at the historic St Peter’s Church on July 28th.
A spokesperson said, “The St George’s Parish of the Anglican Church of Bermuda invites everyone to celebrate the 190th anniversary of the Slavery Abolition Act, which came into effect on August 1, 1834, in Great Britain and her territories.
“Join us at St Peter’s Church, Their Majesties Chappell, for an inspirational service at 11 am, Sunday, July 28th, 2024, as we mark this historic occasion in Bermuda’s first church.
