Ashalay Simons Helps Team Win Girls Title
Bermudian footballer Ashalay Simons helped the Surf Select girls’ team win THE Girls’ Premier Vase title at the Super NI Cup in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The Surf Select defeated English side Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 in the final.
Simons was invited to the Surf Select team through her involvement with International Development Academy-Bermuda.
Richard Todd, the IDA-Bermuda head coach, wrote on social media: “Ashalay represented Bermuda well and had the chance to play against three English Premier League academy teams at this year’s event.”
