Bermudian goalkeeper Nathan Trott said his debut for Danish side FC Copenhagen was a “moment worth waiting for” after keeping a clean sheet in a 2-0 win away to Lyngby in their SuperLiga opener this week.

Trott, 25, signed for Copenhagen from English Premier League outfit West Ham United last month.

Last season, he returned to Danish top-tier team Vejle for a second loan spell, playing an integral role as they secured their place in the league, finishing eleventh in the 12-team table.

He previously helped Vejle win the NordicBet Liga – the second tier of Danish football – during the 2022-23 campaign.

Trott has had previous loan stints at AFC Wimbledon in Sky Bet League One and French side AS Nancy Lorraine in Ligue 2.

A former England Under-20 international, Trott made his debut for West Ham as a substitute in a 4-0 win over Doncaster Rovers in the FA Cup fourth round in January 2021.
