Bermuda Plays 3rd Billie Jean King Cup Match
Bermuda played their third match in the Billie Jean King Cup Americas Group Three Division in Trinidad & Tobago, where they were defeated 3-0 by St. Lucia.
Shelby Madeiros opened the series, starting strong with a first-set win of 6-2. However, Jessica Eudovic of St. Lucia rallied in the subsequent sets, overcoming Madeiros 6-1, 7-5.
Following Madeiros, Nadhira Durham competed but was bested by Meggan William in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.
In doubles action, Alexie Burrows and Airez Gilbert-Simons represented Bermuda but were defeated by the duo of Eudovic and Iyana Paul with scores of 6-2, 6-1.
