Khano Smith’s Rhode Island Cruise To Win
Khano Smith’s Rhode Island claimed a convincing 3-0 victory at home to Hartford Athletic in the USL Championship on Saturday [August 10].
Grant Stoneman opened the scoring with a header in the 29th minute before Frank Nodarse doubled the score in the 49th minute with another header.
Joe Brito completed the scoring in the 91st minute with a close-range finish.
Smith, a former Bermuda and New England Revolution winger, was appointed as head coach and general manager of Rhode Island in March last year.
Rhode Island, sixth in the Eastern Conference, are at home to Oakland Roots on Saturday [August 17].
