Khano Smith’s Rhode Island Equalise Late
Khano Smith’s Rhode Island stretched their unbeaten run to eight matches after scoring a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw away to Detroit City in the USL Championship on Saturday [August 3].
Clay Holstad struck in stoppage time for Rhode Island to cancel out Ben Morris’ 77th-minute opener for the home side.
Smith, a former Bermuda and New England Revolution winger, was appointed as head coach and general manager of Rhode Island in March last year.
Rhode Island are eighth in the Eastern Conference of the USL Championship.
Their next league game is away to Indy Eleven on Wednesday [August 7].
