A government spokesperson said, “Earlier today, the Acting Governor Mr. Tom Oppenheim appointed the Hon. Kim N. Wilson, Minister of Health, as Attorney-General and Minister of Legal Affairs. The appointment is made on the advice of the Premier and in accordance with Section 71(1A) of the Bermuda Constitution Order 1968.

“I look forward to working with her to advance the Government’s legislative agenda and continuing our work in building a fairer and better Bermuda. Minister Wilson is no stranger to this task, and I know that she will approach it with her usual dedication and keen desire to improve the lives of Bermudians.”

“continuing our work in building a fairer and better Bermuda”

The PLP Government keeps repeating that phrase. What does it mean?

It sounds like the intention is to take money from the “haves” and give it to the “have nots”.

    • Yep says:

Just remembered the 2011 scandal. Look up parking ticket and Kim Wilson Bermuda.

  2. Ringmaster says:

Shows how shallow the competence pool is within the PLP that Wilson has 2 Ministries and Burt is Premier and Minister of Finance. Backbench PLP MPs are that incompetent?

    • White Wash says:

Actually looks more bad on the clown face obaUBP if they can’t beat them.

      • Jus' Wonderin' says:

LMFAO try again bro….looks like you got washed!! Can’t even find competence from within and guys are running the country…..JOKESSSS!

      • Joe Bloggs says:

I think you mean the UBPLP. After all, it is the PLP Government that has 2 former UBP leaders sitting as PLP MPs.

  3. Buttons says:

There has not been taking from the haves and give to the have nots, there has been full scale increase in how much it costs to survive in Bermuda for everyone.

Emperor Burt threw Wilson in to shut down the scandals of what happened quickly. Why couldn’t he trust anyone else? What does Wilson have on him to get 2 ministries.

  4. comfortably numb says:

Hopefully, in her new post, she won’t reply to every question with “I don’t have that information in front of me”.

  5. Tashae H. says:

Congratulations and best wishes Minister Wilson on the appointment of your new ministry!! Such an inspiration!!

    Another Bus Job.
    Sad.

  7. Hilarious says:

Bermuda, where the Peter Principle reigns supreme. She did a bang-up job with Bermuda’s healthcare. Who can forget her performance (sarcasm) during the pandemic?

  8. Hilarious says:

As Attorney General, will she require everyone under her purview to pay their mountain of parking tickets?

  9. Kim Smith says:

Please help me consider what the justification might be for having paid a separate person fully for the role of Attorney General when that role can now be done as a part-time role by another government Minister? Or does this mean that Minister Wilson assumes the role of Attorney General at half pay for the role? How does this work?
