Road Closure On St. David’s Road Extended
The Ministry of Public Works advised of “the continued road closure on St. David’s Road in St. George’s Parish, specifically at the Stokes Point Bridge bend.”
A Government spokesperson said, “Initially planned for a shorter duration, this closure will now extend through to Friday, 20 September 2024, to facilitate ongoing wall reconstruction and road improvement works.
“To ensure public safety and the timely completion of these necessary improvements, traffic will continue to be detoured through Kindley Field Park, Wallast Point Road, and Southside Road.
“The roadwork will occur on weekdays, with working hours set from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Traffic control measures will remain in place and will be overseen by Ministry of Public Works representatives.
“Motorists are urged to comply with all directions traffic control personnel provide and heed the barricades, signs, and cones in place for safety.
“The Ministry appreciates the public’s cooperation and patience during this time and apologises for any inconvenience caused by these essential works.”
