BDA Paralympic Delegates Arrive In Paris
Ann Lindroth, the Bermuda Paralympic Association president, and Lorri Lewis, the chef de mission, have touched down in Paris today [August 22] ahead of the Paralympic Games.
Bermuda will be represented in Paris by Jessica Lewis, the daughter of Lorri Lewis, in athletics and boccia player Yushae DeSilva-Andrade, who is scheduled to arrive in the French capital tomorrow with her coaches Troy Farnsworth and Larry Hunt.
DeSilva-Andrade, who will become a two-time Paralympian, will compete in the BC1 division.
Lewis, who competes in the T53 100 and 400 metres, is due to arrive in Paris on Monday after a training camp in Barcelona, Spain, with the Canadian athletics team. She will become a four-time Paralympian in Paris.
The Paralympics run from August 28 to September 8.
