The official Bermuda Olympic pins are becoming a much-coveted item among athletes from other countries at the Olympic Games in Paris.

Each participating nation has been handed a set of exclusive pins, which athletes are eagerly trading with coaches, volunteers, and more often, each other.

The bright pink Bermuda pin is fittingly triangular and contains the Olympic rings and Paris 2024 logo.

There are also pins for each sport, with Bernews getting their hands on a Bermuda team pin and a rowing pin [pictured below].

Bermuda rower Dara Alizadeh told Bernews in a recent video interview that the island’s pins have become a “hot commodity” among athletes at the Olympic Village.

There are also individual athlete pins, with United States gymnast Simone Biles – one of the biggest stars at the Games – posting pictures of her custom pins on social media, featuring a gold heart and her signature.

The “sport” of pin trading is not a new concept at the Olympics; however, with so many athletes keen to show off their impressive collections on social media, it seems the long-standing tradition is becoming even more popular.
