Nathan Trott Helps Copenhagen Advance
Bermudian goalkeeper Nathan Trott helped FC Copenhagen reach the Uefa Conference League after they defeated Kilmarnock 3-1 on aggregate yesterday [August 29].
The Danish outfit earned a 1-1 draw in the second leg of their play-offs away to the Scottish outfit, having won the home leg 2-0 last week, and progress to the 36-team league stage of European football’s third-tier competition.
Marley Watkins’ first-half effort put Kilmarnock just one goal behind on aggregate, but they soon saw their hopes extinguished by a Lewis Mayo own goal in the 67th minute.
The Uefa Conference League draw for the league phase of the competition takes place today.
