Remember When: Reggie Lambe Scores Four
It has been exactly 16 years since Reggie Lambe scored four goals in Bermuda’s resounding 7-0 victory over Saint Martin during the Digicel Caribbean Cup qualifiers in the Cayman Islands on August 30, 2008.
Aged just 17, Lambe had never scored for the national team before that unforgettable match at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex, making his achievement all the more remarkable.
At the time, Lambe was a promising winger playing for the Ipswich Town Academy in England.
Bermuda, coached by Kenny Thompson, finished third in group C and missed out on qualifying for the regional competition.
They lost 4-0 to Antigua and Barbuda and drew 0-0 with the Cayman Islands.
Lambe became the first Bermuda player to be capped 50 times for his country in a 3-0 defeat away to French Guiana in the Concacaf Nations League in November last year.
He made his international debut aged 16 in a friendly at home to St Kitts and Nevis in 2008.
