Barnes Starts Competing In Stars Championship
Bermudian driver Scott Barnes began competing in the final round of the Stars Championship Series in North Carolina, experiencing a mix of results in the opening races.
Barnes started his campaign with a 3rd place finish in the ROK Shifter Masters Warm-Up, clocking a 6-lap time of 5:12.391. He then won the ROK Shifter Masters Qualifying race, completing 8 laps in 6:37.837.
Controversy struck in Heat 1, where Barnes was initially penalized for passing under a yellow flag, relegating him to 3rd. However, upon review, officials confirmed that Barnes did not complete the pass, but upheld the penalty for the attempt.
Undeterred, Barnes bounced back in Heat 2, securing a strong 2nd place finish after 13 laps with a time of 10:27.598.
