Late Winner For Khano Smith’s Rhode Island
Khano Smith’s Rhode Island scored late on to beat FC Tulsa 2-1 in the United Soccer League [USL] Championship at Beirne Stadium yesterday [September 21].
Aaron Bibout gave FC Tulsa the lead in the eighth minute before Noah Fuson equalised in the 69th minute.
Albert Dikwa struck with a last-minute winner to give the home side three vital points in the Eastern Conference play-off race.
Smith, a former Bermuda and New England Revolution winger, was appointed as head coach and general manager of Rhode Island in March last year.
Rhode Island, sixth in the Eastern Conference, are away to San Antonio FC on Saturday [September 28].
