Ryan Outerbridge Wins 5K Invitational Race
Ryan Outerbridge led the Franklin Pierce Men’s Cross Country team to victory in the Ron Ouellette Invitational.
The school’s report said, “The Raven’s Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams traveled to Maine for the Ron Ouellette Invitational, Saturday. Ryan Outerbridge [Paget, Bermuda] led the men’s team to a team win with a 5k time of 15:35.2. Hailey Desmarais [Assonet, Mass.] led the women’s team with a 2.1-mile time of 12:55.5.
“The men’s race was a 5k race. Outerbridge finished first overall and won by 15 seconds. Outerbridge was followed by Angel Mendo Alonso [Malaga, Spain]. Alonso ran a 16:02.2 and was the fourth runner to cross the finish line. Alonso was immediately followed by first year Sam Fortin [Hebron, Conn.] at 16:04.3. After Fortin, sophomore John Viens [Berkshire, Vt.] would run through the finish line with a time of 16:20.8 and then Logan Mihelich [Northwood, N.H.] and Liam Doherty [Methuen, Mass.] would finish with times of 16:53.1 and 16:55.4, respectively. Junior runner Riley Tremblay [Mansfield, Mass.] would get a first race time of 18:30.1 and Aidan Healy [Bedford, N.H.] got a time of 20:10.5. The men’s team would finish first out of seven.”
