Reggie Lambe And Braintree Town Part Ways
Bermuda national team footballer Reggie Lambe has parted ways with Vanarama National League side Braintree Town.
Lambe will be fondly remembered by Town fans for scoring the winner in the team’s 4-3 win over Worthing in the National League South play-off final last season, heading home in the second half of extra time.
“We can confirm that Reggie Lambe will be leaving the club,” Braintree wrote on social media today [September 27].
“We can’t thank him enough for everything he has done for the club and being a huge part of our promotion to the National League!
“Reggie has made over 50 appearances for us since joining in 2023 and scored some great goals [including that goal against Worthing last season!].
“We wish him all the best for the future and can’t wait to see what it will hold for him. Once an iron, always an iron.”
Lambe scored for Bermuda in a 3-2 defeat to the Dominican Republic in their opening League B group D match of the Concacaf Nations League in Antigua and Barbuda this month.
The 33-year-old took his first step into coaching after joining AFC Sudbury Women’s backroom staff at the start of the season.
