Blake Montgomery Scores For Lincoln Stars
Bermudian ice hockey player Blake Montgomery scored in Lincoln Stars’ 3-2 win away to the Youngstown Phantoms in the United States Hockey League [USHL] yesterday [October 19].
Montgomery, who was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the National Hockey League [NHL] in June, was named his team’s “Tog Dog of the Game” in recognition of his performance.
He scored his side’s third goal to make it 3-1.
Montgomery, a 6ft 4in power winger, will play college hockey at Wisconsin, an NCAA Division I programme in the Big Ten Conference next year.
The Lions are at home to Tri-City Storm on Friday [October 25].
