Howie & Mazar-Fox Team Up For Miami Art
Art advisors Lisa Howie and Holly Mazar-Fox have created a personalized itinerary to explore the Art Miami Basel fairs in December in partnership with Masterworks.
A spokesperson said, “Building an art collection can be a daunting task. Touring an art fair can be equally overwhelming. For these two reasons, art advisors Lisa Howie and Holly Mazar-Fox have joined forces to create a personalized itinerary to explore the Art Miami Basel fairs in December 2024 in partnership with Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art.”
Ms. Mazar-Fox, founder and CEO of Mazar-Fox Art Consulting, said, “Thanks to our international networks, we have VIP access to fair openings and special events, giving our group a bit more space to see the artwork, meet artists and galleries, and have meaningful conversations. We appreciate that Miami can be hectic during the fairs, so we are tempering the art with culinary experiences, adding another layer of artfulness to the trip.”

Risa Hunter, Executive Director of Masterworks, said, “Navigating the world of art fairs can feel overwhelming and I often hear from art enthusiasts that they don’t quite know where to start. This partnership with Holly and Lisa offers a curated experience to explore a pinnacle event in the global art calendar.
“One of our aims as a museum is to bridge appreciation between Bermuda art and the broader international context, so the fair tour will give us a lot to discuss along the way.”
Ms. Howie, founder of Black Pony Gallery and co-founder of Atlantic Arthouse, said, “Working with Holly and Risa is a natural progression of our shared passion for enriching lives with art. We look forward to taking this deep dive into the Miami art fair scene, meeting emerging to well-established artists, visiting artist studios and collectors’ homes, while sharing our contacts and advice on art collecting.

Ms. Hunter said, “For those keen to learn more about joining such a tour, please note that this is a pilot project and the organizers could only extend this year’s invitation to a smaller group of supporters who expressed initial interest in overseas fairs and collecting.
“Our hope is to expand this opportunity in the future, allowing more of our valued museum members to join us on this type of exciting arts excursion.”
