“This year, Ignite is once again partnering with Bermuda Ocean Prosperity Programme [BOPP] and Bermuda Health Council to encourage and support applications from entrepreneurs innovating in the blue economy and health care sectors.
“The term ‘blue economy’ refers to the sustainable use of ocean resources for economic growth, improved livelihoods, and increased jobs while preserving the health of ocean ecosystems.
Bermuda’s Blue Economy Strategy aims to facilitate sustainable fisheries, expand sustainable marine tourism, accelerate the clean energy transition, and increase blue investment and blue technologies on the island.
“Bermuda Health Council, a regulatory body responsible for ensuring the sustainability and accessibility of Bermuda’s health system, aims to attract entrepreneurs with solutions to non-communicable chronic diseases, mental health conditions, and Bermuda’s aging population.
“An Open House will be held on Wednesday, October 9th, at 5:30 pm at the Ignite Bermuda Hub on Wesley Street. Attendees will be able to see firsthand what Ignite has to offer, meet the Ignite team and alumni. RSVP via email, hello@ignitebermuda.com.
