Khano Smith’s Rhode Island Defeat Miami
Khano Smith’s Rhode Island finished the regular United Soccer League [USL] Championship season with their biggest win of the campaign – an 8-1 victory at home to Miami FC yesterday [October 26].
Scoring the goals for Rhode Island, who finish fifth in the standings, were Noah Fuson, JJ Williams [3], Marc Ybarra, Frank Nodarse, Albert Dikwa and Jojea Kwizera.
Michael Lawrence scored for Miami.
Smith, a former Bermuda and New England Revolution winger, was appointed as head coach and general manager of Rhode Island in March last year.
Rhode Island take on Indy Eleven away in their first play-off match on Sunday [November 3].
