Mixed Day For Bermuda In Dominican Republic
It was a mixed day on the beach for the under 23 teams from Bermuda as they continued competing in the 2024 NORCECA beach volleyball tour in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The Bermuda men’s team of Alexander Southern and Braedon Cooke, and the women’s pairing of Kaylee Trott and Hailey Trott took to the courts once again for action on day two.
Southern and Cooke were defeated 2 – 0 by Alexander Wilmore and Rolvin Maldonado from the Dominican Republic 21-7, 21-6 in their final group B match.
Southern and Cooke would then take on Kymani Greenidge and Cole Sommer from the British Virgin Islands in the 13th – 16th place match, falling 2 – 1 in 48 minutes, 19-21, 21-16, 15-9.
Trott and Trott defeated Kirra Lambert and Sophia Del Valle from the British Virgin Islands 2 – 0 in their final group D match 21-13, 21-17.
The victory moved them into the match for 9th – 12th place, they defeated Reanna Robinson and Nayelli Fergus from St. Vincent 2 – 0, in their 31 minute battle, 21-12, 21-18.
