Retreat House Launches Wellness Retreats

October 1, 2024 | 1 Comment

Jessica Burns has launched The Retreat House at Southern Views, offering a “wide range of wellness retreats and corporate away days.”

Ms Burns stated, “From relaxation to adventure, to discovery and healing, there is a retreat for everybody. This is the first ever retreat company in Bermuda. We have our first retreat upcoming this Sunday, it is a surf retreat hosted by our brand partner Illuminate and then a yoga retreat hosted by our brand partner Salt Yoga in November. Retreats in the works include a fitness retreat, a grief retreat and a coaching retreat. We are also designing our first free retreat for Cancer patients, sponsored by PALS. We are also working to do free diving retreats with Free Dive Bermuda.

“The Retreat House is based at Southern Views, a holiday rental business set up by my mom Kim. While she is no longer with us, as she passed away from Ovarian Cancer in 2023, her legacy lives on in the Kim Burns Retreats mentioned above for cancer patients. My mom was a PALS nurse and ran the Agape House before retiring and transforming our childhood home into the beautiful holiday rentals they are today. So it feels truly fitting that this will also be a space of respite for the people my mom dedicated her career to caring for.

“My intention to run the Retreat House during the off season of holiday rentals, so we pivot from serving tourists to serving our community. You can find retreats running from mid September to mid April, the perfect time to discover new things to do in Bermuda.
