Middle School Girls Six A Side Football Results
Warwick Academy won the Middle School Girls Six-a-Side Tournament with a 1-0 victory over BHS in a tense final.
A spokesperson said, “Warwick Academy followed their Primary School team in winning the Middle School Girls six a side tournament after defeating BHS 1-0 in a tense final. The lone goal of the match was scored by Leyana Williams who’s shot from inside her own half took a big bounce over the BHS Goalkeeper. Both finalists comfortably won their semi finals.
“Warwick defeated Saltus Grammar School 5-1 in their final. Devi Samuels and Anabelle Shah both scored twice for Warwick while Riley Khan added the fifth. Leydi Raynor scored the lone goal for Saltus. BHS defeated MSA 5-0 in the other semi final. Avery Taylor led BHS with two goals while Erica Siingleton, Kelia Crusenzo and Sophie Tindall each scored.
“Saltus claimed third place after defeating MSA 4-1 in the third place match. Phoenix Williams gave MSA the lead before Leydi Raynor leveled things before the break. Saltus got two goals from Zara Soutter in the second half with a solo strike from Sydney Pithick to put the game out of reach for MSA.”
