Montgomery Helps Bison Win First Home Game
Bermudian ice hockey player Bryce Montgomery helped the Bloomington Bison win their first-ever home game with a 3-1 victory over the Kalamazoo Wings on Friday [November 8].
Montgomery, a 6ft 5in 231-pound defenceman, was recently reassigned by National Hockey League [NHL] team the Carolina Hurricanes from the Chicago Wolves to the Bison.
He scored the first regular-season goal for the ECHL side in a 4-2 win over the Toledo Walleye.
The Bison lost 4-2 to the Iowa Heartlanders yesterday.
Montgomery’s younger brother, Blake Montgomery, was drafted by NHL team the Ottawa Senators in June.
He currently plays for the Lincoln Stars – a junior team in the United States Hockey League [USHL]
