Deloitte Donates $25,000 To Family Centre
Deloitte Bermuda has donated $25,000 to the Family Centre, providing a comprehensive holiday experience for eleven families.
A spokesperson said, “Deloitte Bermuda has generously contributed $25,000 to support eleven families through the Family Centre, offering them a comprehensive holiday experience. Deloitte employees, organized into eleven teams, utilized the funds to buy gifts such as Pokémon trader cards and art supplies for the children, and artificial Christmas trees with ornaments for each family. Additionally, Deloitte provided gift cards for groceries, BELCO, Gibbons Company, and a festive meal from the MarketPlace.

“Family Centre, an accredited non-profit, is dedicated to enhancing the lives of families in Bermuda. They offer innovative, free mental health counseling services for children, teens, and their families, along with community outreach programs and advocacy initiatives. Family Centre is committed to providing barrier-free access to support, fostering healing, hope, and connection to strengthen families and create a healthier Bermuda for children.”
Susan Richardson, the Family Centre’s Director of Counselling Services, expressed gratitude, saying, “We are deeply grateful to Deloitte Bermuda for their unwavering support of our Adopt-A-Family initiative. Their generous contributions towards supporting multiple families experiencing finacial hardship bring much needed joy and relief for these families. Deloitte’s continued partnership demonstrates their genuine commitment to making a meaningful impact in our community, and we are honored to collaborate with them year after year.”
Jimmy Caplice, Partner & Co-Chair of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, added, “The Family Centre’s ‘Adopt-A-Family’ initiative aligns perfectly with the Deloitte WorldClass program, allowing our team to make a local impact. Each year, we divide our staff into groups, each assigned to purchase presents for one family. The teams enjoy working with the wish lists and strive to find the best gifts, creating a friendly rivalry. Our training room was filled with laughter and cheer as everyone compared their gifts before wrapping them for delivery!”
