City Works At The Front Street Pump Station
The City of Hamilton will begin “essential maintenance work next month at the Front Street Pump Station and the #8 Car Park on Front Street, located opposite the Supermart.”
A spokesperson said, “The project involves replacing aging pipes in the pump station that carry city wastewater.
“To accommodate the works, a small number of parking spaces will be temporarily impacted. Approximately six car spaces and a few motorbike spaces in and around the car park will be unavailable for the duration of the works. A temporary exit gate has been installed to ensure smooth traffic flow and minimize disruption to users and will become operational at the start of the project.
“The City has planned the works to minimize inconvenience to the public as much as possible. The project is expected to conclude by mid-February.
“This essential maintenance will ensure the continued reliability of the City’s wastewater system while addressing any service concerns, elongating the service life of this asset.
“The City appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation during this necessary project.”
