Harvey Breaks Bermuda Swimming Records
Jack Harvey broke three Bermuda open short course records in the men’s 15 & over division at the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association’s winter age group championships held at the National Sports Center Pool.
Harvey’s first record-breaking performance came in the 50 SC meter backstroke with a time of 24.74, surpassing the previous record of 26.56 set by Roy-Allan Burch in 2014. He then broke his own record in the 100 SC meter backstroke, clocking in at 53.15, significantly faster than his previous time of 57.84 set in 2020. Harvey continued his streak in the 200 SC meter backstroke, finishing with a time of 1:55.97, a considerable improvement over his previous record of 2:04.44, also set in 2020.
