Warning: Scam Advertisement For 6-Month Card
The Department of Public Transportation [DPT] has issued a warning about a fraudulent social media advertisement promoting a “6-month card for $2.55.”
A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Public Transportation [DPT] is warning the public about a fraudulent advertisement for a “6-month card for $2.55″ that is circulating on social media.
“This advertisement is a scam and has no affiliation with the Department of Public Transportation or the Government of Bermuda.
“The DPT strongly urges the public to avoid clicking any links associated with this ad, as doing so may expose users to personal data theft or financial fraud.
“We advise all customers to only rely on official government communication channels for accurate information regarding public transportation services. Visit https://forms.gov.bm/shorelink to find out more about Shorelink the new, unified transportation brand for Bermuda’s bus and ferry system.”
