Ariel Re Donates $240K To Charities In 2024
Ariel Re donated $240,000 to 35 charitable initiatives in 2024, supporting causes in Bermuda, London, and beyond, with contributions including employee-raised funds matched by the company.
A spokesperson said, “Ariel Re, a global reinsurance business with offices in Bermuda, London and Hong Kong, has announced it donated $240,000 to charities in 2024 – an increase of $45,000 on the total donated in 2023.
“The company assisted 35 charity initiatives through its Bermuda and London offices, including amounts given via tag days, sponsorships, and cash raised by employees which was matched by Ariel Re.”
“We are very proud of our staff who have made amazing efforts again in 2024 to raise money for a number of great charities,” said Veronica King, Chair of the Ariel Re Charity Committee. “As a responsible corporate citizen, Ariel Re takes great pride in corporate social responsibility initiatives like charity donations which help those communities in which we work. I am delighted that in 2024 we were again able to make a real impact on communities in Bermuda and London.”
The spokesperson said, “Ariel Re’s Bermuda office made significant donations to Beyond Rugby, the Transformational Living Centre, Waterstart Charity, HOME, and St. Baldricks. Donations were also made to It Takes a Village Foundation, Coalition for the Protection of Children, Foster Parents Association, Youth Driving Change, and the Reading Clinic.”
Dr Sandy De Silva, Executive Director of Family Centre, said, “We thank Ariel Re for its donation towards Family Centre’s Beyond Rugby Bermuda Programme. Ariel Re is making a significant difference in young people’s lives by helping to sustain a programme that supports and inspires youth to reach their full potential on and off the rugby field.”
The spokesperson said, “In the London office, notable donations included amounts given to Brain Tumor Research, Waverly School, and the MCA Trust Children’s Charity.”
Keith Isaacs, Chairman of the MCA Trust, said, “This is the second year that Ariel Re has donated to the MCA Trust Children’s Charity, which enables us to effectively support children impacted by cancer. Thank you so very much for helping us make a clear difference to children’s lives.”
