11 Graduate From Nonprofit Alliance Program

The Nonprofit Alliance of Bermuda recognized 11 individuals who successfully completed its 2024 Introduction to Nonprofit Management Certificate program.

A spokesperson said, “The 2024 graduates are: Sandra Christensen, Caitlin Conyers, Angelika Davis, Fiona Dill, Nickell Durham, Chrystal-Lynn El, Yulanda Francis, Ashleigh Holland, Stephanie Lee, Natalie Millar, and Françoise Palau-Wolfe.

“Sponsored by the Bermuda Foundation, the intensive training programme runs for nine months involving weekly online learning and monthly live cohort sessions. Graduates earn an accredited nonprofit management certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Graduates are supported throughout the year by the Nonprofit Alliance team, and they also engage in personal development modules led by EAP Bermuda Executive Director Latisha Lister-Burgess and Dr. Aria Bean.”

Dr. Myra Virgil, congratulated the graduates on behalf of the Bermuda Foundation, and said, “It is exciting to know that this latest cohort will join the larger group of alumni, increasing the scale and scope of nonprofit professionals who have the capacities to do the tough work of managing a nonprofit – while pursuing social mission.”

The spokesperson said, “The Introduction to Nonprofit Management Certificate is an introductory level programme that exposes learners to key current management issues faced by nonprofit organisations. The programme’s goal is to strengthen nonprofit leadership by equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills to manage, sustain and scale a successful nonprofit organisation. The cohort model enables participants to collaborate, discuss and process the course materials together, while making the programme affordable and accessible to all. Enrollment for the 2025 Cohort has opened. The Application is available online, and the application deadline is Feb 14, 2025.”

Dr. Nicola Paugh, Executive Director of the Nonprofit Alliance added, “this programme is a key to our vision of building a strong and sustainable nonprofit workforce pipeline in Bermuda. We are so proud of our 2024 graduates. We also encourage all nonprofit leaders to consider who from their teams can participate in this important leadership training to ensure we are constantly building the next generation of capable nonprofit leaders.”
